The Beef Tapeworm
The beef tapeworm is found in both humans and cattle. The disease is found in cattle that were raised in below standard conditions, and can be transmitted to humans through consumption of contaminated meat that was not sufficiently prepared.
Respiration
The beef tapeworm lacks a complex respiratory system, as it does not posses the tissue that is required for structures like gills or lungs. Because the tapeworm has to live in a host, it simply feeds off the nutrients of the host, which includes the host's oxygen supply.
